CHAPTER 15

TIANNA

This is undoubtedly one of the best days of my life. I have a whole new family. No more grey skies for me. Now that the tables were turned I felt so much better about myself. No more tears as I lay awake at night now that I have Tim.

The wedding cake was fabulous. It was three tier with a happy couple topped and surrounded with tiny colorful flowers. I fed Tim a piece of cake, but when it was my turn, he smashed it on my nose. It was all in fun though, and nothing to get upset about.

People were leaving because it was getting dark I never had so much fun in my life. The dancing, jokes, and food were all appreciated. We received plenty of wedding gifts. I was really overwhelmed, but I did not feel lonely but apart from the crowd finally. I would love to move to Eerie mostly because of the way Tim’s closely knitted family showed me, love. Who knew what the future holds. I never thought I would be married and a millionaire at seventeen. I used to be between a rock and a hard place, but things had changed very rapidly for me.

“Tianna are you ready to go?” Tim asked me.

Yeah, baby! I am exhausted.

“Let’s say our goodbyes to mom and pops,” Tim instructed.

“I will be right there in a minute,” I called out to Tim.

I stood up in the backyard surrounded by the nightfall, and the starlit sky. I closed my eyes and made a wish upon one of the many stars. My dream wish was that Tim and I would have a love like Peter and Kandra. I realized now that all I ever wanted was to be loved and happy.

After I made my wish, I opened my eyes and stared at the sky for a few moments. I smiled and walked into Tim’s parent's house to say my goodbyes.

“Oh, there you are Tianna. I was just about to send Tim to fetch you.” Kandra told me.

“Ms. Kandra I told Tim I was coming. I was just enjoying the cool breeze. I really love how you have your backyard set up.” I responded.

“Tianna just call me mom. I know that you may be uncomfortable, but it won’t last long. Dear, you are welcome to come here and do whatever you want in our backyard.” Kandra insisted.

“Thanks, Mom. Tim and I will have to make plans to visit again soon.” I said softly.

“We would be glad to have you. Wouldn’t we

Peter?” Kandra snapped.

“Woman, what kind of question is that? You already know that our home is always opened to all family whether they live near or far!” Peter retorted.

Peter sounded like a crabby old ass man. He looked weary maybe that is why he seemed so grouchy.

I walked over and gave him a great big hug. Peter hugged me back. I felt loved.

“I enjoyed my day here dad,” I said through my tears.

I had been holding back my tears all day.
